Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled in the mobile game Astral Miners (the "Game") and on the website astralminers.com (the "Website"). We wrote it to be short and clear. If anything is unclear, write to us.
1. Who we are
The Game and the Website are published by Cloud Forest Infrastructure S.R.L., a company registered in Romania (Trade Register no. J10/768/2022, fiscal code 46309790, Buzău County), which acts as the data controller for the processing described here.

2. The short version
- The Game has no accounts and no in-app purchases. We do not ask for your name, email or any contact details.
- Your progress (gold, machines, cargo, settings) is saved on your device. It is never sent to us. Android may include it in your own device backup (section 3.1).
- The Game contains no analytics, no telemetry and no tracking of its own. It does not talk to any server of ours.
- The optional notifications (for example "your jackhammer is full") are planned and shown by your phone itself. They collect nothing and send nothing (section 3.3).
- The Game shows optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. An ad only plays when you choose to watch one. AdMob, provided by Google, processes some device data to serve and measure those ads, as described below.
- The Website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party content (section 4).
3. Data processed in the Game
3.1 Game data stored on your device
The Game stores your save file and settings in the app's private storage on your device, which other apps cannot read. We cannot access it. It is deleted when you uninstall the Game or clear its data, and the Game's RESET PROGRESS button in SETTINGS erases it at any time.
So that your mine survives a phone change, the Game allows Android's own backup: if backup is turned on in your Android settings, Android may copy the save file to your Google account's backup storage (Google Drive) and restore it on a new device. This backup is run by Google under your Google account, as described in the Google Privacy Policy; we never receive it. You can turn it off or delete it in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Backup, or Settings → System → Backup, depending on your device).
3.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Game uses Google AdMob to offer optional rewarded ads: a bonus on the gold you collect when you come back, a refill of the jackhammer or of the explosives, or doubling the value of a rare find. To request, deliver, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK integrated in the Game may collect and process:
- device identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID (or the app set ID);
- your IP address, from which an approximate location (country or region) may be derived;
- device and app information (device model, operating system, language, app version);
- ad interaction data (for example, whether an ad was shown, watched to the end or tapped);
- diagnostic data (for example, crash and performance information of the ads SDK).
This data is processed by Google as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive your Advertising ID or IP address from Google; we only receive aggregated reports (such as the number of ads shown and the revenue earned). The ads SDK is the only part of the Game that uses the internet; the Game itself works offline.
3.3 Notifications
If you allow it, the Game can remind you when your jackhammer or your explosives are full again, when every machine is full, or when a galaxy event is about to start. When you leave the Game it plans these reminders and hands them to your phone's own scheduler (Android WorkManager); your phone shows them at the planned time, never at night. No push service and no server is involved, no identifier is created and nothing about you or your notifications is sent to us or to anyone else.
Android asks you once for permission. You can turn each kind of reminder off in the Game's SETTINGS screen, or turn all of them off in your Android settings, at any time.
3.4 Your consent choices for ads
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Game asks for your consent on first launch through Google's consent tool (Google User Messaging Platform, which implements the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework). You can accept, refuse, or choose per purpose. If you do not consent to personalised advertising, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads when you choose to watch one.
You can change your choice at any time in the Game: open SETTINGS and tap AD PRIVACY OPTIONS. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
3.5 Legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Storing and accessing information on your device for ads, and personalised advertising | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules). You can withdraw it at any time, without affecting earlier processing. |
| Serving non-personalised ads you chose to watch, ad measurement and fraud prevention | Our legitimate interest in funding a free game and keeping ads safe (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or your consent where the law requires it. |
| Answering your emails | Our legitimate interest in replying to you, or steps you ask us to take (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). |
The save file, the device backup and the notifications stay on your device or in your own Google account; we do not process them.
4. Data processed on the Website
The Website is a set of static pages. It uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no embedded videos and no third-party fonts or scripts. Like any web server, our hosting keeps technical access logs (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser user agent and referrer) to deliver the pages, keep the service secure and investigate abuse. These logs are kept for a limited period (normally no longer than 30 days) and are not used to identify or profile visitors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Links to other sites, such as astralwizards.com or Google Play, are ordinary links: those sites only receive data if you follow them, under their own privacy policies.
5. When you contact us
If you email us, we use your email address and the content of your message only to reply and to handle your request, and we keep the correspondence for as long as needed for that purpose and for our legitimate record keeping.
6. Who receives data
- Google (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, and Google LLC), as the provider of AdMob, for the ad-related data described in section 3.2.
- Our hosting provider infrastructure, for the Website logs.
- Authorities, only where we are legally required to.
We do not sell personal data.
7. International transfers
Google may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on the safeguards Google provides, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Children
The Game is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the Game, contact us and we will help remove it.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. The Game does not send us data, and ad-related data is held by Google; you can manage it through your Google Account and your Android ad settings, and we will help you with any request: write to office@cloudforest.ro.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Romania this is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.
10. Security
The Website is reached only over encrypted HTTPS. The Game keeps your save data in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read, and the ads SDK talks to Google over encrypted connections.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy, for example when the Game changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be announced on this page.
